Finals are finally over and I've started my first week of Christmas break. I'm already loving it... especially with all the beautiful snow outside :) I ended up with all A's & A's minus one B+ in my hardest nursing class. I was pretty worried about that class all semester so I was happy with a B+ even though I was slightly disappointed with myself for falling just 2 points from an A.
I am so excited about having time to watch Christmas movies, bake bread & cookies, try new recipes for meals, read, and spend time with Nick. Tuesday I'm going to see Chronicles of Narnia with some friends as well as going shopping with another friend. Today I'm just enjoying doing nothing!

I'm bothered when women put their husbands (or even boyfriends) down... we should be building our men up!
Prov. 31:10-12 says: A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
Is complaining, nagging, putting down, and controlling them bringing them good rather than harm? I think not :(
I'm not married but this is still something that I feel strongly about. I hope I'm this type of wife-- a Proverbs 31 woman.

This semester is nearly over and I'm almost to the point of panicking. I have 5 finals (4 of them are cumulative) and I don't even know where to begin or which to study first. They're all going to be rough =/ I keep reminding myself of what a friend of mine said once, "take it one day at a time, and if that's too much to handle, take it one step at a time". Just one more days of classes (and a quiz in the morning which no one has any idea what it's about) and then finals next week. I am not ready for them... but I'm ready for my Christmas break!

Hello =)
Hey! I'm Mary Beth and I'm a 24 year old nursing student at IUS. I just wanted to get back into blogging and didn't know what else to name my blog so I decided on RN2B since I will likely be talking a lot about nursing school. I'm pretty discouraged with it all right now and this has been a really rough semester... I've wanted to quit so many times, but everyone says it's all worth it in the end.
I've since changed the name of the blog to "Fearfully & Wonderfully Made", taken from Psalm 139.

I keep reminding myself of Philippians 4:6 which says (in the NLT), "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done."
A friend of mine once told me something which I'll likely never forget. She said, "Take it one day at a time and when that fails, take it one step at a time." And yes, I've had to take it one step at a time most days.
I'll write more soon, but I just wanted to get this started :)
